When you use visa (App), some personal information is collected from and about you. We are committed to protecting the security of this information and safeguarding your privacy. At registration you accept the terms of this Privacy Policy and your use of the App signifies your continued acceptance thereof. This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time and you will be notified of all such changes. In order to use the App, you will be required to consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy as revised from time to time.

This Policy applies to all registered users/Visitors of SU-SWAGATAM App of Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India including individuals whose personal information may be collected, stored and used for Visa purposes by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India or its offices. This privacy policy sets out the details of the personal information collected, the manner in which it is collected, by whom as well as the purposes for which it is used.

1. INFORMATION COLLECTED AND MANNER OF COLLECTION

   1. The types of personal information that Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India collects will depend on the nature of services and may include your name, contact details, photographic information, demographic details, family details, travel information etc.
   2. When you install and register on the SU-SWAGATAM App, the following set of information is collected from you and stored securely on a server operated and managed by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India - Personal details, Passport details, Address, Family detail, profession details, Visa sought, other countries visited, references in India, photo, passport copy and relevant documents etc.
   3. This information will be stored on the Server and a unique digital id for your identification will be pushed to your App. Thereafter same would be used to identify you in all subsequent App related transactions and will be associated with any data or information uploaded from the App to the Server.
   4. While registration, your location details are also captured for which your consent is required. Whenever you visit India, this location tracing will help you in exploring the nearest places of your interest in India.

2. USE OF INFORMATION

   1. If you register to seek any Indian Visa related service Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India will need to collect some personal information from you for this purpose.
   2. The personal information collected from you at the time of registration, while filling visa application or seeking any other service through this app will be stored on Government of India Server and only be used by the Government of India for the purpose of procession your application for rendering required service.
   3. No attempt will be made by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to identify users or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect server logs. The statistics and log files may be preserved indefinitely and used at any time and in any way necessary to prevent security breaches and to ensure the integrity of the information supplied by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
   4. The information collected will only be used by Indian Immigration and Visa authorities in a secured manner.

3. RETENTION

   The information collected will be stored in Government of India Servers for certain period as decided by Government of India.

4. RIGHTS

   As a registered user, you have the right to access your profile at any time to add, remove or modify any registration information that you have supplied. You cannot manage the communications that you receive from us or how you receive them. If you no longer wish to receive communications from us, you may cancel your registration.

5. DATA SECURITY

   The App is equipped with standard security features to protect the confidentiality and security of your information. The sensitive profile data is saved in an encrypted format and no one can view this information.

6. DISCLOSURES AND TRANSFER

   No personal information collected by the App will be disclosed or transferred to any third party.
